Police: 17-year-old shot in the back overnight in Melrose

A teenage boy is recovering in the hospital after police say he was shot Monday night in Melrose.

A teenage boy is recovering in the hospital after police say he was shot Monday night in Melrose.

Police say a 911 call at around 9 p.m. lead them to discover a 17-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to his back on East 152nd Street and Concorde Avenue.

The boy was taken to Harlem Hospital where he is currently in stable condition.

No word was given on the suspect. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the NYPD.
