Police: 2 injured in separate fireworks-related incidents in Bronx, Brooklyn

Two people were injured in the Bronx and Brooklyn while using fireworks early this morning.

Two people were injured in the Bronx and Brooklyn while using fireworks early this morning.
Police tell News 12 that an 18-year-old in the Bronx suffered a chest injury while operating fireworks on University Avenue around 1 a.m. 
The teenager is in stable condition at Columbia Hospital.
Shortly after that incident, a 33-year-old man in Brooklyn injured himself in the same way on Bedford Avenue.
News 12 is told the man was taken to a hospital and is expected to be OK.
