Police say two men impersonating police raided an apartment and stole $810 from a 36-year-old man Tuesday night.
Police say the incident happened at around 9:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Hinsdale and Riverdale Avenue.
They say two men rang his doorbell while posing as police, and that when the man opened the door both men entered the apartment, menacing him with a firearm.
Police say they told the man to lie on his bed, put his hands on his chest and face the wall.
One of the men took $810 from his pants pockets and the keys for a Chevy Silverado pickup truck that belonged to the victim’s brother.
Police say they later broke into the victim’s roommate's room but that he wasn’t home and they didn’t seem to take anything from him.
No arrests have been made at this time. The incident is under investigation.
