Police: 2 people injured in University Heights shooting

Police say a 43-year-old man was shot in the back. A block away a 37-year-old woman was grazed by a bullet in her leg.

A man and woman are recovering at the hospital this morning after being shot in University Heights.
Police say a 43-year-old man was shot in the back. A block away a 37-year-old woman was grazed by a bullet in her leg.
According to police, the woman was closing up a store nearby when she was grazed on her right thigh. Officials say she went to the hospital on her own. The 43-year-old man was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital where he is in stable condition.
The NYPD says this investigation remains ongoing, and is searching for a man in connection to the shooting. They say he is 6 feet 2 inches and was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
