Two men were fatally shot in two separate shootings in the Bronx overnight, police say.

They say a 21-year-old man was shot in front of the Soundview Deli just before 11 p.m. Friday.
Surveillance video shows a man in a black hoodie with white stripes and black pants walking toward the victim before pulling out what appears to be a gun.

Police say the victim, Shaiquan Wilson, had a gunshot wound to his torso. He was taken to New York City Health and Hospitals-Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead.

About five miles from that incident, police responded to another shooting at an Eastchester playground.

They say that incident happened at around 1:35 a.m. Saturday.

Police say Forest Byrd, 34, died after suffering gunshot wounds to his torso and left arm. He was also taken to Jacobi Medical Center.

Police say the two incidents do not appear to be connected.

No arrests have been made and investigations remain ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
