Police confirmed there was not a child inside of a Mercedes that was stolen from a motel in Wakefield on Saturday.

It was initially reported that a 4-year-old was inside a vehicle that was stolen from the Metro Motel on East 241st Street.

NYPD said two people were responsible in the incident.

Police sources told News 12 the carjackers had a gun.

Police had not recovered the car as of Saturday night.
