Police: 41-year-old killed crossing the street in Parkchester hit-and-run

Police are searching for the driver who struck and killed a pedestrian in the Bronx Wednesday.

Police are searching for the driver who struck and killed a pedestrian in the Bronx Wednesday.
It happened around 9:30 p.m. along Beach avenue near Mansion Street in Parkchester.
Police say the victim was hit while walking across the street. News 12 is told when police arrived they found the 41-year-old victim unconscious with trauma to the head. First responders rushed him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
News 12 is told the driver of the vehicle fled the scene. Police say they are looking for a blue or silver Toyota Rav4 with New Jersey plates.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
