Police say a 66-year-old woman was shot in the leg at the Soundview Houses on Monday. 

They say they received a call about the incident at around 4:30 p.m.

Police say an argument between two men led to the shooting that sent the woman to the hospital. Citizen App video captured the scene. 

They say the woman was not the intended target of the shooting. According to police, the woman was taken to Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where she is now in stable condition. 

Neighbors didn’t want to speak on camera, but tell News 12 that they feel like the area has seen an increase in violence ever since coronavirus pandemic restrictions have been lifted. 

Police say no arrests have been made at this time.
