Police arrest suspect in hammer attack at Queens subway station

Police say they have arrested 57-year-old William Blount after releasing his photo over the weekend.

A suspect has been arrested in the violent attack of a woman inside a Queens subway station last week, police say.
Police say they have arrested 57-year-old William Blount after releasing his photo over the weekend. 
Police say a 57-year-old woman was kicked down the stairs at the Queens Plaza subway station Thursday and hit multiple times in the head with a hammer. 
The woman remains in critical condition at a hospital. Her attacker got away with her purse.
