Body parts found at three locations on Long Island belong to a man and woman whose last known address was in Yonkers, Suffolk County police announced on Tuesday.
The 59-year-old female has been identified by officials but has not been named yet. Officials say the male was 53 years old. It was not immediately clear when they last resided in Yonkers.
Authorities in Suffolk County “determined that a severed head, right arm, left leg from the knee down, and a right upper leg” found at Southards Pond Park on Feb. 29 belonged to the unnamed woman. The remains included the man’s arms.
Another search was conducted Tuesday at a separate location, Bethpage State Park, where more body parts were found. They are believed to be from the same man and woman.
A News 12 source says arrests have been made. Those details have not yet been released by authorities.
