Police: Bronx man fatally shot in Claremont

The NYPD says the investigation remains ongoing and the shooter ran away dressed in dark clothing.

A Bronx man is dead after being shot in Claremont, police say.
Police say 27-year-old Muhamadou Gumaneh died after being shot multiple times in his torso just after 1 a.m. in front of 1310 Sheridan Ave.
According to police, Gumaneh was rushed to Lincoln Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A friend of Gumaneh, who spoke to News 12, says that he was a great guy who everyone loved to be around. He also tells News 12 that it is hard to believe Gumaneh was the intended target.
