A Brooklyn McDonald's worker is fighting for his life after getting shot in the face Monday night.
Police say shooting took place at around 7 p.m. when a 23-year-old employee was shot just steps away from the food chain.
According to officers, he started arguing with a woman inside the establishment over their food order. The argument escalated and the woman's 20-year-old son got involved. That's when police believe he shot that employee outside.
The 20-year-old man is in custody but has not been arrested yet. The names of the victim and suspect have not been released.
The McDonald's reopened the next day after closing the night before.
News 12 reached out to McDonald's for a statement:

“The safety and well-being of our customers and employees is paramount to our organization, and violence has no place in or near our restaurants. We are praying for a swift recovery and the health of our crew member and will cooperate with authorities as their investigation moves forward.” – McDonald’s restaurant owner/operator Roy Iraci
