Police: Car bursts into flames after tractor-trailers crash on Cross Bronx Expressway; 1 dead

A terrifying three-vehicle crash killed one driver on the Cross Bronx Expressway, according to the NYPD.
Police say the accident took place at around 12:30 a.m. when a tractor-trailer was rear ended by a sedan on the Cross Bronx Expressway near exit 1A.
The sedan was rear ended by another tractor-trailer and the sedan then burst into flames. The driver of the car was a woman, who officials say did not survive. The drivers of the two tractor-trailers were not injured.
No other information was given by police.
