A child in South Brunswick is facing charges after bringing a Taser into school, police say.

The child was detained Thursday morning.

Officers responded to Crossroads South Middle School where they found the weapon in a backpack.

Police say they were tipped off after other students alerted them to a post on social media that showed the weapon.
