Police: City Council candidate Heshy Tischler arrested, facing riot and harassment charges

Police say they have arrested a City Council candidate and a leader in Brooklyn’s Orthodox Jewish community for a recent attack on a journalist.

Police say they have arrested a City Council candidate and a leader in Brooklyn’s Orthodox Jewish community for a recent attack on a journalist.
They say that Heshy Tischler is facing riot and harassment charges, among others, in connection with the attack on Jacob Kornbluh in Borough Park on Wednesday night.
As News 12 has reported, Tischler had been circulating video that he was going to be arrested Monday morning, as opposed to Sunday night.
