A 61-year-old Fairfield man was charged after police say he pulled a knife on another man working at a construction job.
According to investigators, Joseph Soracco pulled a knife and used racist language when he confronted a masonry worker on Oct 16 over a parking job.
Police say Soracco brandished a knife while using racial slurs directed at the worker.
The worker's truck was being parked in such a way that it blocked a section of sidewalk adjacent to a lot where construction work is being done.
Police say at the time Soracco also had a gun, which he had a permit to carry.
Officers then applied for a warrant to remove other weapons in Soracco's home.
Soracco is due back in court Oct. 26.
