A father and his 6-year-old son were attacked with a knife overnight in Highbridge.
According to the NYPD, the 23-year-old suspect and the 39-year-old father got into an argument outside of West 166th Street and Anderson Avenue at around 11 p.m. The suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the back.
Police say at some point, the suspect then slashed the son in the arm, which led to the two men fighting. The father gained possession of that knife and slashed the suspect in the right hand.
Charges against that 23-year-old man are still pending.
The father and the son were transported to treatment for their injuries.
