Police have arrested a man in connection to a knife attack that occurred at a Brooklyn subway station early Sunday morning.
Police say the incident took place after an argument between two individuals at around 1 a.m. on the southbound A train at the Bed-Stuy station. At least one of the men involved pulled out a knife, according to authorities.
Police say the victim is a 28-year-old man who was slashed across his arm and shoulder following the argument.
Investigators say the suspect is a 30-year-old man. He was last seen being handcuffed, escorted away by police and then placed into an ambulance.
Police say a machete was also recovered a machete from the scene, but told News 12 that it wasn’t used in the attack.
The NYPD says subway crime has gone down over the last year. However, the latest crime statistics show it has crept back up across the city.
