The NYPD has released information on the suspect of a fatal stabbing that took place outside a supermarket in Morrisania.
According to police, a verbal dispute broke out between two men who didn't know each other, and quickly turned deadly in front of 206 E. 167th St.
In a surveillance video released by the NYPD, the two men can be seen fighting on the sidewalk throwing punches at each other. At one point, the victim realized he was stabbed.
The video goes on to show a person appearing to try and stop the bleeding and aid the victim, who police have identified as 33-year-old Jermaine Williams, a resident in Baychester.
Police found Williams unresponsive with a stab wound to the stomach at the same location at around 7 p.m. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Law enforcement officials believe that the two men involved in the dispute did not know each other, and that the fight started over a minor issue.
Police describe the suspect between the ages of 18-25, standing 5' 8" to 5' 11" and weighing about 155 to 160 pounds. The suspect was wearing a white-collar shirt, a black vest and black pants.
Authorities are offering a $3,500 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the suspect in this homicide.
