The teenage victim in a New Haven shooting earlier this week has been identified.

The victim was 15-year-old Aaron Robinson, according to police.

Police say Robinson was found with gunshot wounds in a yard on Greenwood Street just before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

He was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

New Haven Police Chief Karl Jacobson said in a statement, “This was a tragic and senseless murder in which a 15-year-old boy was killed in what looks like a targeted attack. We are actively investigating this case and I encourage anyone with information to reach out to our detectives."
