Police ID victim, suspect of fatal Bronx stabbing

The man that was stabbed and killed in his Mott Haven apartment on Halloween night has been identified by police.

The man that was stabbed and killed in his Mott Haven apartment on Halloween night has been identified by police.
The NYPD identified the victim as 38-year-old Christopher Cook. Police say the man in custody has been identified as 53-year-old James Akerson.
Police say they found Cook with a stab wound to the chest inside 423 East 136th St. and that Akerson was also treated for lacerations to his arms.
Akerson is now facing charges that include murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
The two men did live together, but the nature of their relationship has not yet been confirmed.
