Police have released the names of the three men killed in Sunday’s mass shooting at a Crown Heights lounge that left 10 others injured.
The NYPD says 19-year-old Marvin St. Louis, 27-year-old Amadou Diallo, and 35-year-old Jamel Childs, were all shot and killed inside Taste of the City Lounge on Franklin Avenue.
Investigators say it started around 3:30 a.m. Sunday when a fight broke out inside the club. Police believe at least four shooters opened fire, leaving a total of 13 people shot. Officers recovered 42 shell casings from different guns and found another weapon nearby.

Nine other victims — including three women — were rushed to area hospitals and are expected to survive. During the investigation, police were informed of an additional victim, who was removed by private means to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the ankle.
Police say some of the victims may have been involved in the shooting, but others were innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire.
So far, no arrests have been made. Police believe the shooting is gang related. Detectives are still interviewing witnesses, including security staff who were inside at the time.

This isn’t the first time violence has hit the lounge. Police say a man was shot in the arm outside the same spot back in November.
Mayor Eric Adams called the shooting the worst of its kind in the city since 2019. He urged anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
“If you were inside, if you heard individuals talking about the shooting, someone fleeing — every piece of evidence allows us to solve this crime,” Adams said.
Community leaders say the neighborhood is reeling from the violence. Brian Saunders, president of Community Board 8, announced a community candlelight vigil for Monday at 5:30 p.m. at Franklin Avenue and Carroll Street to remember the victims and support their families.
