Police identify 82-year-old victim fatally struck by motorcycle in Sunset Park
Authorities say 32-year-old Abed Abed hit the victim at 5th Avenue and 60th Street before 7 p.m. last Monday.

The NYPD has identified the victim who lost his life in Sunset Park last Thursday in a car crash.

Efrain Barreto, 82, was struck by 32-year-old Abed Abed who was driving around 60th Street and 5th Avenue on a moped. Barreto was pronounced dead and his funeral was held on Tuesday morning.
Abed now faces a slew of motor vehicle charges including but not limited to operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
