Search continues for man responsible for fatal Mott Haven stabbing

Police said 27-year-old Tyquise Bell was fatally stabbed not far from his apartment on East 138th Street near Cypress Avenue.

The search continues for the man behind a deadly stabbing in Mott Haven.

Police said 27-year-old Tyquise Bell was fatally stabbed not far from his apartment on East 138th Street near Cypress Avenue.

Officers found Bell with stab wounds in his chest. He was taken to Lincoln Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

It happened around 4 p.m. on Thursday.

There was a growing memorial near the scene on Friday.

Police said they’re still investigating what led to the stabbing and whether it was gang related.

Sources told News 12 Bell previously faced gun charges back in 2022 and served three years in jail.
