Police say 59-year-old Louis Altmonte is accused of inappropriately touching a 6-year-old boy in a Fort Greene park on Sunday.
Officers say Altmonte lured the boy inside of the bathroom at Albert J. Parham Playground around 11 a.m.
News 12 was told the incident occurred inside of the bathroom.
Parents in the area say the bathroom area was roped off by crime scene tape for two days.
Detectives say Altmonte might be homeless, but he has an address listed less than 10 minutes walking distance from the park.
Altmonte is charged with felony counts of sex abuse, sex contact with an individual less than 11 years old and acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17.
Some parents say they were upset because they were not notified of the incident and had just heard about it through other neighbors.
