Police are searching for a man who they say attempted to rape a woman on Sunday.

Police are searching for a man who they say attempted to rape a woman on Sunday.
Police say the suspect tried to talk to a 33-year-old woman walking near Jennings Street and Southern Boulevard. He then allegedly followed her for about five minutes down the block.
On the corner of East 172nd and Seabury Place, police say the suspect exposed himself and threatened to stab the woman if she didn't perform oral sex on him. The woman tried to run away, but she tripped and fell. The man then jumped on her,punching her face and trying to stab her, but she fought him and got away.
She was treated by EMS for scrapes and bruises to her body.
The suspect got away, but video has been released of what the suspect looks like. Police are asking for help in identifying the individual.
