5h agoPolice in the city of Poughkeepsie say they were conducting a traffic stop Friday on South Clinton Street when the suspect tried to run away.
Police say Savon Bagby, 25, tossed a loaded handgun during the pursuit. According to authorities, the handgun was stolen in Virginia.
Bagby was taken into custody and has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon, firearm and stolen property. Bagby was also found to be on federal probation.
