Police: Man follows woman into Belmont apartment, gropes her
Police are on the hunt for a man who they say followed a Belmont woman into her building and groped her.
The incident happened back on July 21 around 4:30 a.m. as the 30-year-old victim was entering her complex near Crescent and Arthur avenues.
The victim tells police she was walking into her building when a man followed her inside and sparked a conversation.
Surveillance video from inside the building shows the 30-year-old victim walking down the hall as a man, with what seems to be a cane, walks right next to her.
Once inside, she told police they engaged in a conversation, but shortly after he puts his hand inside her dress and touched her buttocks. According to police, the woman stopped the man and he ran away.
A reward of $2,500 is being offered for any information that leads to an arrest and indictment of the man police are searching for.
