A Bronx man is accused of pointing a laser at three aircraft at LaGuardia Airport on Monday night.
Frank Egan, 36, is being charged with assault on a police officer, reckless endangerment and other charges.
Police say the Federal Aviation Administration contacted police when they noticed a man pointing a laser at two aircraft in the air and one on the ground. Police then tracked Egan down to an apartment in the Bronx, where the suspect's mother let officials inside.
Police say they found the device labeled "Laser 303" on a refrigerator. Police say Egan admitted that he owned the laser and had used it that night.
One pilot operating an aircraft suffered injuries. Two police officers who were operating a helicopter also sustained injuries to their eyes and were taken to a hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
