Police are investigating an overnight shooting in Highbridge.
Police blocked off the intersection of West 176 Street and Nelson Avenue Monday morning following the shooting that left one man injured.
Authorities say the 46-year-old victim was shot six times around 1:30 a.m. 
He told police he was walking when he heard gunshots and suddenly felt pain on his right leg.
Over eight bullet casings were found Monday morning as the NYPD Evidence Unit canvassed the scene.
The 46-year-old was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln where he's in stable condition.
It is unclear what led up to the shooting.
No arrests have been made.
