A man is fighting for his life after being stabbed with a sword to his chest in Throgs Neck, police say.

The incident occurred at 310 Huntington Ave. around 4 p.m. Tuesday. Police say a man in his 50s stabbed another man in the chest.

Detectives say the two roommates were intoxicated and arguing when one stabbed the other.

Authorities have searched the home, removing evidence, including a sword-like knife, and roping off part of the street.

Neighbors say a veteran lives inside the affected home, along with one or two other people. Some others on the block say this isn't the first time police showed up to the house, saying reports of a man with a sword required a previous police presence.

The victim was taken to Jacobi Hospital where he is in critical condition.

Police say that one person has been arrested, but details into the charges are still pending.
