Police: Man wanted for attempted rape at Fordham Manor apartment

Police have released photos of a man they say grabbed a 33-year-old woman from behind inside the stairwell of her apartment building, tried to rape her, and unzipped his pants.

Police say a man is wanted in connection to an attempted rape last week in the Fordham Manor section of the Bronx.
They have released photos of a man they say grabbed a 33-year-old woman from behind inside the stairwell of her apartment building, tried to rape her, and unzipped his pants.
Police say the woman fought back and bit the man's right hand. This is when the man ran away and was caught on surveillance video leaving the apartment building.
The suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket, a black winter hat and black pants with a white stripe on the side. Officers say he's thin and probably in his 20s.
News 12 was told the victim was not hurt but was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
