Surveillance footage obtained by News 12 shows the suspect linked to armed robberies in the Longwood section of the Bronx.
Police say the male suspect is accused of robbing four stores since February and even robbed one store twice. Police say his first robbery was at a business at 726 E. 152 St. before midnight when he showed his gun, demanded cash and got away with around $4,000. In March, he came back to the same store and robbed it again.
His most recent incident was around 2 p.m. Wednesday at a store on Southern Boulevard. The clerk behind the register at the time told News 12 a man in a black hoodie held another employee at gunpoint while demanding he empty the register. The suspect took about $400.
"He said give me the money," he recalled. " I just gave it to him, because safety is more important than anything.”
No one was seriously injured during the incidents, police say.
The suspect is still on the loose. Anyone with information is asked to contact the NYPD.
