Police: Man wanted for slashing 3 women with sharp object in Manhattan subway stations

Police say the suspect took off from the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall station through the Chamber Street station.

Police are asking for assistance in finding a suspect they believe is connected to multiple Sunday subway slashings in Manhattan.

The NYPD says the alleged slasher approached a 19-year-old woman walking up the platform at the 86th Street Lexington Avenue station at around 4:15 p.m. and slashed her right leg with an unknown object. The suspect later slashed a 48-year-old woman’s right leg from behind on the southbound platform.

Lastly, a 28-year-old woman was sitting on the 4 southbound train approaching the Brooklyn Bridge City Hall station when she was also slashed in the left leg with an unknown sharp object.

All three victims were transported to hospitals for their injuries.

Police say the suspect took off from the Brooklyn Bridge City Hall station through the Chamber Street station. Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to call police.
