Police: Man wanted for slashing victim’s face in Times Square subway station

The NYPD says a man is wanted in connection to an assault inside of a subway station in Times Square on Wednesday.

The NYPD says a man is wanted in connection to an assault inside of a subway station in Times Square on Wednesday.
Police say a 35-year-old male victim got into a verbal dispute with an unidentified man around 8:50 a.m. in the Times Square 42nd Street subway station. They say the suspect brandished a scalpel and slashed the victim on the left side of his face, causing a severe laceration.
Authorities say the unidentified man fled the station in an unknown direction.
The victim was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital in stable condition. 
Police say the suspect was seen on surveillance video. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
