Police are searching for a group of men in connection to at least six robberies across the Bronx and Manhattan.
The first incident was reported on March 18 near Fordham Road where they stole a chain valued at $8,000.
The latest robbery took place on April 17 near Southern Boulevard. Police say a 46-year-old man was approached by a man from behind who forcibly removed his gold chains worth $4,000 from around his neck.
Officers say the suspect later took off on the back of a black scooter, which was the same getaway ride used in the other robberies.
The NYPD says the suspects have taken more than $20,000 worth of jewelry in total.
Police say no injuries were reported and that the suspects were seen wearing all black clothing.
Anyone with information on the identities of the suspects is asked to call police at 1-800-577-TIPS.
