Police: Mom, half-brother arrested in death of 7-year-old
Police have confirmed that two arrests have been made in the case of 7-year-old Julissia Batties’ death in August of 2021.

312ds agoPolice have confirmed that two arrests have been made in the
case of 7-year-old Julissia Batties’ death in August of 2021.
The mother of the victim, Navasia
Jones, and her 18-year-old son and victim’s half-brother,
Paul Fine, have both been arrested and charged with murder and
manslaughter, among other charges. Fine was charged with sexual abuse as well.
The fatal incident took place on the morning of August 10,
2021, when police found an unconscious 7-year-old female inside of an apartment on Alexander Avenue. She was transported to NYC Health
and Hospitals/Lincoln, where she was pronounced deceased.
Jones and Fine are expected to be arraigned at the Bronx
Hall of Justice today.
