6ds agoPolice say it appears that there was no credible life safety threat at Woodland High School after an investigation regarding a firearm threat Friday.
The Greenburgh Police Department say they received information involving a dispute between two students at the high school, located in the Hartdale section of the town.
They say at about 12:30 p.m., the two students got in a fight and one of them said something about a gun.
Officials say they responded out of an abundance of caution due to the alleged statement regarding firearms.
Police quickly determined that the threat was not credible.
Woodlands High School was placed in a hold in place status, and neighboring Maria Regina High School and the Leffell School were also placed in lockout status.
Maria Regina and Leffell were advised to release the lockout status just before 3 p.m.
News 12 reached out to police and the district about what extra safety measures students might see when they return to class Monday but has yet to hear back.
