Police released a new video Thursday as they search for a man in connection to the sexual assault of a woman at knifepoint in her apartment in Bed-Stuy.
The alleged sexual assault happened on Malcolm X. Boulevard and Kosciusko Street around 4:30 a.m. Monday.
Surveillance video shows the man in a dark blue jacket wearing a black baseball cap, and a backpack running down the street.
Investigators say a 26-year-old woman was trying to get inside of her apartment when she was approached by the man from behind and he demanded to be let into her apartment.
After the victim refused to let him in, News 12 is told the man took out a box cutter and threatened the woman to again let him inside the apartment.
After being let in, News 12 is told that he sexually assaulted the woman at knifepoint and robbed her, taking her cellphone and $200 before leaving.
Police say the woman was taken to a hospital where she was treated and released.
The man in the video is described as 40 years old, 200 pounds, and standing at 5 feet, 8 inches tall.
Anyone with information is asked to call the police.
