A 41-year-old man was shot at point-blank range Wednesday morning in what may have been a mob-related incident.
The NYPD has released new surveillance footage of the 6:30 a.m. shooting on Tierney Place in Locust Point.
The victim, who survived the shooting, is seen sitting in his car when a red 4-door Nissan sedan pulls up next to him.
The suspect can be seen holding up a gun from the passenger side window. The victim gets out of his own car, and is seen desperately rolling away on the ground behind his vehicle. The suspect gets out of the car and follows the victim as he continues to roll away, eventually firing several shots from just feet away.
Police have not confirmed that the incident was mob-related though multiple media outlets, including the New York Post, have reported so.
The victim is in critical but stable condition after suffering wounds to his torso, left hand, and graze wounds to his head.
