Police have released a new video of the person they believe was behind pushing a 73-year-old woman onto train tracks on Monday.
They say a 30-year-old grandson was standing on the platform of the Clinton and Washington avenues subway station Monday with his grandparents when an unknown man, smoking a cigarette, got into an argument with him.
This resulted in the 30-year-old receiving multiple injuries and his grandmother being pushed onto the train tracks.
Police released a new video of the man they want to question walking away from the crime scene, just after 1:30 p.m. Monday.
News 12 is told the suspect wanted to punch the 30-year-old in the face and when his grandfather sprang into action, the 82-year-old was also punched in the face.
The 73-year-old grandmother also tried to stop the altercation and that’s when she was pushed onto the train tracks as a train was approaching the station.
She was able to avoid it as it came to a stop, while the man who pushed her fled the station.
Both the grandson and grandmother were treated at a hospital and were released with stitches.
