Police say they are searching for two suspects armed with guns who robbed a barbershop Friday night in Mount Eden.
They say the incident happened at around 9 p.m. at D'Agustin Barbershop on East 170th Street, right off the Grand Concourse .
Surveillance video shows one of the suspects acted like a customer waiting for a haircut before getting up and walking over to a 40-year-old barber cutting hair. The suspect held a gun up to his head and began to forcibly remove his gold chain and bracelet, according to officials.
Police say when the barber resisted, a second suspect began firing several rounds of his gun.
They say the victim was hit in his arm and stomach, but remains in stable condition St. Barnabas Hospital.
Authorities say the suspects ran away with victim’s jewelry.
Detectives say one of the suspects appears to be in his late teens or early 20s. They say both suspects were last seen wearing dark-colored clothing.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
