Police search for gunman who shot man in the leg in Williamsbridge  

Sources say a verbal dispute turned violent leaving a 37-year-old man shot in the right leg Sunday night.

Police cars blocked the street between Paulding and Laconia avenues on E. 213th St. Sunday night, after a 37-year-old man was struck by a bullet.

Investigators say they responded to a call of a shooting at 1026 E 213th St. at around 10:55 p.m. on Sunday.

There they found the victim shot once in the right leg. He was taken to Jacobi Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

Citizen video showed a person surrounded by police. It’s unclear if it was the victim or an eyewitness.

A source told News 12, the incident happened after a verbal dispute between the victim and the shooter.

The investigation continues with police searching for the gunman who fled the scene in a white BMW. Sources believe he was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and grey shorts.
