Police search for man who allegedly assaulted person with 'metal object' in Gravesend

The NYPD is asking the public to help find a man who they say assaulted another man in Gravesend.
Police said the unidentified man got into a fight with the 33-year-old victim and hit him multiple times in the head with a metal object.
Investigators said it is unclear exactly what the weapon was.
It all unfolded about two weeks ago, but investigators only released two photos of the unidentified man on Wednesday.
Police said the incident happened shortly after 8 p.m. on March 26 outside of a bodega on Avenue S and West 10th Street.
The attacker ran off down Avenue S towards West 9th Street.
Police said the victim was taken to Maimonides Medical Center and is expected to be OK.
It was not immediately clear what led up to the incident or if the two men knew each other.
