Police: Series of shootings in The Bronx leaves multiple people injured

On Sunday Morning, two shootings took place 2 miles and 1 hour apart from each other.

Police say a series of shootings in the borough left multiple people injured over the weekend.

According to police, a man was shot Sunday night at 1600 Nelson Ave. Officials say he was shot on the right side of his stomach and rushed to SBH Health System where he is in stable condition.

On Sunday Morning, two shootings took place 2 miles and 1 hour apart from each other. Just after midnight, police say a 43-year-old man was shot shortly inside of Crotona Park. He was shot in the buttocks and walked himself into the hospital, police say.

An hour later, a 36-year-old man was shot in Melrose, inside of a NYCHA complex on Park Avenue near 156th and 158th streets. Police say he was shot in his left shoulder and taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln.

All three victims are expected to be okay.
