Police say a man was fatally shot by officers during an early morning gun battle Friday in the Bronx.
According to police, vice officers were conducting a raid at a bar suspected of serving alcohol after hours. Police say a man in the bar spotted the officers and fled down East 167th Street. The officers chased after the man and that's when police say gunfire was exhanged and the man was killed. More than 40 shots were fired. No officers were injured in the gun battle.
Police recovered the man's weapon from the scene and are still investigating the incident.
