Police: Sloatsburg man drowns in Haverstraw lake
A Rockland man drowned in Seven Lakes in the town of Haverstraw on Sunday, according to officials.

7h agoA Rockland man drowned in Seven Lakes in the town of Haverstraw on Sunday, according to officials.
State police tell News 12 that Bogdan Kardynal, 43, of Sloatsburg, entered Seven Lakes from the Sebago Boat Launch around 8:15 p.m.
He was attempting to swim when he went under and did not resurface.
A witness jumped into the lake to assist but was unable to find him.
Kardynal's body was found a short time later by the Thiells Fire Department and Water Rescue.
He was declared dead at the scene.
