A man wanted in the fatal shooting of his girlfriend died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after being tracked by police in the Bronx, police sources say.

Sources tell News 12 that 37-year-old Shannon Graham was tracked to a home after being wanted in the murder of 31-year-old Bronx teacher Jessica Hoyle.

Graham was found in a home on Pratt Avenue just after 2 p.m. Thursday and barricaded himself inside as officers approached, police sources say.

Sources tell News 12 that emergency service and hostage negotiation teams responded to the address before a gunshot was heard. They say Graham was found with a gunshot wound to the head on the third-floor landing and rushed to Jacobi Hospital, where he later died. A firearm was recovered at the scene.

Hoyle had been found shot in the head inside a Mickle Avenue home on Tuesday. Authorities say the two were in a relationship and had been arguing the day of the shooting.
