A 40-year-old woman was killed, and her two nephews were injured early Saturday morning during a shooting in Bedford Park.

Police say the victim was identified as Saida Bonilla.

The shooting happened just after 5 a.m. when police received a call for an ongoing assault at 226 East 203 St. Bonilla was shot multiple times in the torso, a 9-year-old boy was shot in the left arm and a 16-year-old boy was shot in the buttocks area.

The NYPD arrested Rosvin Mejia Castillo, 37, who faces multiple charges including murder, attempted murder, assault, attempted assault, criminal possesion of a weapon, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Family members blamed the deadly shooting on what they describe as an abusive relationship.

"When he was living with my sister, nobody came to my sister's house because of him. He was a toxic person," said Kelvin Reyes, the victim's brother.

The two boys were taken to area hospitals in stable condition.
