Police are searching for a suspect who assaulted a man with a rock at the H Avenue subway station in Flatbush on Saturday.
The NYPD says two men got off the same Q Train at the station just before 1 a.m. Saturday.
A 64-year-old man was walking towards the exit on the southbound platform when the suspect approached him and started what police described as a verbal dispute.
Officials say the suspect jumped down onto the tracks, picked up a rock and then climbed back onto the platform and started hitting the victim on the head multiple times until he lost consciousness.
Officials say the victim is in stable condition at Maimonides Medical Center and is being treated for head injuries.
Police released video of the man they are looking for as he fled the platform following the attack.
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
